Here's what you get with The OTPreneur Startup
An action plan for your OT business idea
The OTPreneur Startup gives you the process that we have used to start our own successful businesses. Together, we will take you through the process of validating your idea, finding the people you can best support, and creating a plan to bring your product or service to life. Follow our plan and you will no longer have to question whether or not your idea is a viable OT business.
As a course member, you will also receive a workbook that follows the outline of the course. Exercises at the end of each session are outline in the workbook and will help you take what you learn and apply it to YOUR business.
Live and recorded videos to help you through each step
Recorded courses don't allow for the personal interactions we want to have with you. Live courses may not fit your busy schedule. That is why we have opted to utilize a hybrid model for this course.
We will be presenting each of the six modules live via Zoom (or a similar platform) on Thursday evenings from February 1st thru March 7th. If that fits your schedule, awesome! Attending live sessions will give you the opportunity to ask questions and participate with us synchronously.
However, If you cannot attend live, no fret. All replays will be made available for you to watch at your leisure for up to one year. Inside our dedicated OTPreneur Community, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions asynchronously. We will also hold occasional live on office hours to support you after the course is over.

Once you have that plan, you'll have access to us and the rest of the OTPreneur community to help you enact that plan.
Have questions about email marketing, Jayson has you covered. Questions about hiring a therapist, Sarah is your girl. We want to see you succeed and we know Q&A calls can facilitate that.
Inside the OTPreneur community you'll have access to live Q&A Zoom calls with us, additional mini sessions on specific topics (like how to set up our website), and additional resources that we use for our own businesses.

Getting started with your business can be scary. There are so many "What ifs" and "I don't knows"
That is exactly why we are starting here, with getting in the right mindset!
In this section of the course, we will assist you in getting over those fears by helping you to reframe those thoughts and by providing you with preventative and actionable tips you can use when imposter syndrome sneaks up on you.
Defining your Niche
No matter how you pronounce it, defining your niche may be the single most important piece of starting your business.
In this section, we will guide you in defining your niche and assist you in the steps to determine if your niche is sustainable as a business.
From Niche to Product
Once you solidify your niche, it's time to define your product or service.
In this section, we'll explore various business models and help you find the one that best matches your niche. We'll explore your expertise, who you want to serve, and the model that best fits your current and desired lifestyle.
Building your Audience
This is where the true fun starts.
In this section, you'll learn various ways to attract the people you hope to serve. We'll help you to identify strategies that meet both the needs of your potential clients, as well as your own.
After all, not everyone needs a YouTube channel.
Legal & Business Setup
It would be irresponsible of us to teach you how to define your niche, find your people, and begin marketing without also sharing the legal and setup parts to starting your business.
While every state varies, there are several key points we have to share with you to make sure you don't fall flat after starting your business.
We'll share with you business entity options to consider and how to track your finances to make tax season easier for you in the future.
Mentorship & Accountability
As we begin to wrap up the course, we want to make sure you are set up for success.
That's why we are going to help you set up some goals for yourself and help you to find mentors and accountability partners to support you on your journey.
You may succeed on your own, but trust us when we say, a little support along the way makes it so much easier!
Refining your Plan
Celebrate with us as we wrap up The OTPreneur Startup with this session on refining your plan as you move forward.
After this session, you will complete your business plan and have the opportunity to share it with the community receive feedback from fellow OTPreneurs, including us.

FAQs
When are the live session?
The six live sessions will be held each Thursday from February 1st to March 7th. Sessions will be held at 4 pm PT, 5 pm MT, 6 pm CT, and 7 pm ET.
What if I already own a business?
If you already own a business that generates revenue, this course may not be for you. This course is designed to help you turn your idea into a business. However, if you are exploring new business opportunities, then this course could help.
What if I cannot attend live?
Thursday's not great for you? No worries. We will post each session replay to the OTPreneur Community within 48 hours after they air live. That way, you can watch (or re-watch) them at your convenience. You'll have access to the recording until January 31st, 2025
I'm an OT student. Should I take the course?
Absolutely! There is no better time to start an OT-related business than now. Several OT students run and operate successful businesses. You could be the next and we would love to help.
Is this course AOTA-Approved?
This course is not AOTA approved, but it may still count toward your registration and or licensure needs. Check with your applicable agencies if you would like to use this course to meet your professional development needs.
Are there any discounts available?
The OTP Startup is currently being offered at a $300 discount. Aside from that discount, there are no other discounts available. On request, we may be able to offer a 2-month payment plan to help. Reach out to us at Contact@otpreneur.com for support.
